The May meeting of the Paducah Amateur Radio Association was another successful one with 23 in attendance.
Among subjects discussed was our annual Christmas dinner. The Christmas party this year will be at Casa Mexicana on December 8th at 6 PM. This is a nice opportunity to hang out with other hams and have a good dinner. Don’t miss out.
Also discussed was that there will only be one more meeting before Field Day. Ed noted we will have 4 stations operating 3A, with a GOTA station. The Icom 7200 will be the GOTA rig, Ed’s Omni VII for CW. More Field Day preparation to be discussed at the June 9th PARA Club meeting.
Net control operators were set for the next 4 weeks. To see the NCO’s go to the Net Control Operator page.
We’re still needing some “Shack” pictures for the website. Thanks to the stations that have submitted pictures. They all look good and we’re finally building the page nicely. If you have pictures that you can send me email them to me here. The “Show Us Your Shack” page can be viewed here.
Congratulations to Tristan Jones of Wickliffe, KY. He passed his technicians class exam. One more ham in the mix.
Big thanks to Gene – N4FZ for the help with the website updates.
Finally here is a great article from Clint – W5CPT on “How to attach a standard PL-259 to ½” Cable TV Hardline.” This is an excellent article and a must read. To view the article click the link below. Thanks Clint for this presentation.
